As many know smoking is not only harmful for the health, it is also becoming a great contributor to environmental degradation, particularly with the rise of air pollution. Recently, it has been proven that high concentrations of toxic substances in the atmosphere bring the adverse effect of global warming or the average heating of earth leading to climate changes. Then, read those a couple of times until it reaches your subconscious. It would be helpful to post it or keep a copy of it in your wallet or handbag to serve as a reminder every time you feel like smoking.
It would be very helpful to withdraw from smoking at a gradual phase. Start by reducing the number of cigarette sticks consumed in a week. You can start by putting your cigarette stick that you would smoke in a day into a bag. Make a conscious effort to reduce the number of cigarette you smoke each day until there is none left for consumption. To become more motivated, you can get a quit buddy.
How Does Smoking Hurt the Environment…
At the same time, you can substitute a cigarette stick with chewing gums and lollipops or other candies. Eat vegetables. Drink frequently. Exercise regularly. Do these and other recreational activities that shift the attention away from smoking. Once you have managed stay away from smoking for some time, you will be ready to enjoy a healthy body and a greener environment.
A quit smoking campaign is just a start for you. The rest is really up to you.
